Every alert has a sensor, a date and a model behind it. Here we tell you which.
SilvIA combines optical, radar, thermal and LiDAR observation into a single continuous record of territory surveillance, so that neither night nor cloud cover leaves gaps. This page explains how we do it and how we validate it.
Monitor, dig deeper, understand: the three layers of SilvIA.
Monitoring that never switches off, deep analysis when it's needed, and a layer that translates both into action plans.
SilvIA Earth · the surveillance
The living map of your territory. Continuous observation of the areas you define by combining optical, radar and thermal sensors: the optical reads the state of the vegetation, the radar keeps coverage at night and through clouds, and the thermal reveals temperature anomalies. The result: georeferenced alerts and an always up-to-date state of the forest cover, supported by standard vegetation indices such as NDVI and NBR.
SilvIA Analysis · the depth
When an alert isn't enough and you need context: an area's evolution over years, an estimate of the biomass present, the detection of progressive degradation the eye can't see. An on-demand analysis tool powered by artificial intelligence over your areas of interest, with results exportable to your own GIS tools.
SilvIA AI Assistant · the translation
The AI layer that turns remote sensing into decisions. Every technical result arrives explained in plain language, with its explicit confidence level and an actionable recommendation. The rule is simple: never a blind alert; always what was detected, with what certainty and what to do.
From raw data to report: five steps, all traceable.
1 · Ingestion
We work on open data of institutional origin (the EU's Copernicus programme and the USGS catalogue), which guarantees continuity, traceability and contained cost.
2 · Multi-sensor fusion
Optical, radar, thermal and LiDAR observations are combined into a single time series per area. It's the key to gap-free coverage: where one sensor can't reach, another can.
3 · Modelling
On that series the models run: forest-cover classification, change detection and the wildfire risk scoring engine, which crosses the state of vegetation fuel with topography and weather.
4 · Interpretation
No result travels alone. Every detection comes with its severity, its confidence level and its evidence: which sensor saw it, on which date and which model processed it.
5 · Delivery
Web viewer, automated reports and export in the sector's standard formats (GeoTIFF, CSV) so the data works in your systems, not only in ours.
Against the traditional method, point by point.
Coverage
Today, field inspection and overflights reach a fraction of the territory, with weeks of lag between visits. SilvIA Earth observes 100 % of the area of interest with regular revisits.
Anticipation
The traditional approach confirms what has already happened. SilvIA Earth adds the missing layer: the estimate of where it is most likely to happen, with margin to prevent.
Transparency
A three-colour traffic light hides a model's margin of error. SilvIA Earth exposes it: every signal states its confidence level and its traceable evidence.
Cost
Fewer trips, fewer one-off inspection campaigns: monitoring is built on open, continuous data integrated into a single platform.
What we do. And what we don't.
A model that promises absolute certainty is lying. We'd rather tell you exactly where our limits are.
What we do
- Communicate the level of uncertainty alongside every detection, without exception.
- Provide traceable evidence: sensor, date and model behind every signal.
- Validate the models against ground truth and independent reference datasets.
- Improve with every pilot: real operational feedback enters the training cycle.
What we don't do
- We don't promise perfect detection. Every model has a margin of error, ours too.
- We don't hide uncertainty behind a single number or a traffic light.
- We don't replace field verification or the official alert systems.
- We don't decide for you. SilvIA Earth is decision support, not decision authority.
The same platform, at different depths.
No public price lists: each plan is sized to the territory and to how the data is used. Three indicative levels.

The best way to evaluate a methodology is to watch it work on data you know. Tell us which area you manage and we'll show you what SilvIA sees in it.
